When given the task to create a physical experience for MTV, there were a multitude of considerations. There’s not just music and TV, but celebrities, fashion trends, politics, and iconic cultural moments that deserve to be recognized.

The multi-story MTV museum took inspiration from the Guggenheim, as each floor gradually turns into the next, separated by decade markers. Each decade marked by the way MTV shifted since the 1980’s - changing emphasis from underground music, popular music, reality television, adult cartoons, celebrity, politics and beyond.
